Vennagram #7: The Simpsons vs. The Griffins

It's the seventh issue and I want to do something special for today. So I figure to compare one of the biggest rivals in animated television in this decade. Or at least, what I think it is.

Let's meet two families: The Simpsons and The Griffins.

Both have a dumb but loving father.	Homer	Peter

Both have an elder son with issues.	Bart	Chris
Both have a daughter who fights for her rights.	Lisa	Meg
Both have a baby that doesn't grow up	Maggie	Stewie
Both have a dog.	Santa's Little Helper	Brian
Both have their own wacky adventures in their own little town called...	Springfield	Quahog
Both have a reoccurring pattern in their episodes.	The first of the story is loosely related to the second half.	They keep referencing stuff thought cut-away gags.
Both are adult animated sitcom broadcasted on Fox	... on January 31, 1999	...on December 17, 1989

But don't worry. According to the creators of the two shows, there's no rivary between the two of them. In fact, they even help in the making of each others episodes sometimes.
